Lisa Renée Julien is the author of Midnight in New California, set in San Francisco in the 2030’s. She is currently writing a prequel.
When not writing, she works full-time as a product manager in the payments industry. She earned a BFA in photography in 2007, after which she pursued a career in business, and then earned an MBA in 2017, after which she wrote a novel and pursued a career as a writer.
Lisa Renée Julien grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan but moved to Chicago for college in 2003, and has lived there ever since. She lives with her wife, Caitlin, three-year-old son, Lars, and newborn daughter, Violet. In addition to writing, she likes traveling, coffee, bourbon, wine, European cars, large cities, warm weather, walking in forests, and achieving stuff.
